Our Bullit 600 outboard demo is equipped with Suzuki’s “Micro Plastic Collecting Device”. They are the first in the world to develop a microplastic filter for outboard engines. With this device, microplastics are filtered out of the water, just by turning the motor. The filter is placed after the thermostat and runs without loss of power to the motor.

Microplastics

The plastic waste problem is increasing, especially at sea. Over the years, larger plastic objects break down into microplastics: very small plastic particles of 1 to 5 mm. The photo shows how a microplastic filter works.
